Install Vintex on iPhone or iPad with the Orion browser, the only one accepting Chrome extensions on iOS.

Why Orion and not Safari?

You want to run your wardrobe from your phone, without turning the computer back on. On iOS no built-in browser accepts Chrome extensions — Safari has its own format, Chrome for iOS accepts none. Orion is the only one that reads them, hence the detour.

How to do it

  1. 01

    Install Orion

Orion is free on the App Store.

  2. 02

    Add Vintex from inside Orion

Open the Chrome Web Store in Orion and install Vintex.

  3. 03

    Open Vinted and sign in

The Vintex panel appears at the bottom right. The rest is the same as on desktop: sign in then link the account.

What differs on a phone

The dashboard adapts to the screen: tables become cards, two-pane views become list → detail navigation.

Locked screen: automations keep running

A phone that locks its screen normally suspends its tabs, which would stop an automation dead. Vintex avoids that by having the Vinted tab play an inaudible sound while an automation is working — a tab emitting sound doesn't get suspended.

Three visible consequences: your lock screen shows a track named after your Vinted account, the phone's media keys control it, and the battery drops a few percent per hour. No sound plays when no automation is active.

Switching apps, however, stops everything

This only holds with the browser in the foreground and the screen off. Moving to another app suspends the browser, and the automation stops. It resumes when you come back, but nothing ran in between — for long work, a computer that stays on is still the safer bet.
